About The Dax Locke Foundation:
the challenge that no parent should have to face, the death of her two-year old
son, Dax Locke, to AML7, a rare form of cancer, Julie Locke chose to use Dax's
unique story which began in Washington, Illinois and spread worldwide through
an Emmy nominated song written by Christian songwriter, Matthew West, “One Last
Christmas” and inspired a Hollywood movie of Dax's short life, “The Heart of
Christmas” to bring education and awareness of childhood cancers.
Julie Locke began The Dax Locke Foundation, a not-for-profit 5013 charity, that
has had significant impact in our local communities and has also reached a
global base of supporters to her mission to help the children and families of
St. Jude with a goal of raising 1.8 million dollars, the cost to run St. Jude
Research Hospital for one day. The Dax Locke Foundation has to date raised
just over one million dollars. For more information visit daxlocke.org
